i am trying to print off a HP deskjet F4180 printer with my centos5 that had hplip 1.6 on it.
problem is 1.6 copmained it doesnt support my model and gave an error indicating so
i went to upgrade to a higher version started the process and when i attempted to just upgrade the rpm it wants some package called python(abi) to 2.5 i was upgrading to most bleeding edge version. at this point i screwed up and made the stupid move of upgrading the hpijs driver to 1.7 ( a later version of what i had on but hplip 1.7 wont support it without the same package. when i tried to install python(abi) it wants like 20 packages off me. and now i cant even get hplip 1.6 back on here.

what do i do to get my printing up? its the last thing in need to do to have this machine ready (besides the cd-drive)
