Cannot connect to wifi Fedora 10 and Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network connection
Hey guys, I'm new to linux and I'm having trouble connecting to my wireless router. I've consulted alot of different forums but nothing has been working for me.
here is what I'm finding on the terminal:
iwconfig
wlan0 IEEE 802.11abg ESSID:""
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated
Tx-Power=15 dBm
Retry min limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr=2352 B
Power Management:off
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
Power Management if off apparently, although the led on my laptop is on.
Also, when I cannot activate my wireless card in network connections.
Any help is very much appreciated.

We need some more information to help you. Please read the post, linked to below, and provide the info that it explains how to find.
Wireless Setup - Start Here
It is possible that it is just "turned off". If there is a on/off switch, try booting with it in a different position. If there are shortcut keys to enable/disable the wireless, try them too.Paul

The wireless driver (iwl3945) is loading, so that's not the problem. Post the output of the other commands listed in the linked post. If you surround it with code or quote tags, it may be easier.
Edit: Off Topic - by looking at the modules that are loading, I'd bet money that this is a MythTV box.

It's hard to show how to post, without the forum software interpreting it wrong. Check out this site on posting vB code in a forum.
Webmaster Forum - vB Code List
If you also use the recommendation to output the commands as text files, that may make it easier too. I would still prefer you post info rather than a link to a text file.Paul

I located the vB help page from Linux Forums. I'd rather keep you here!
