Need help
its not that much difficulty... (please dont mind i am very weak in english)
but becarefull when you are dealing with partitions(if you u have dual boot) dont do
anychanges to NTFS partitions
now process starts here:
just insert Bootable what you have with you CD/DVD
after several steps you will be logged into GUI and then it will ask where to install Fedora
by Default it will select this 1.remove Linux partitions and install ....but
there you will find couple of options like Manual Selection
then select manual... and click Next..
there you will get partitions of your hard disk...
Example
dev/hda
sda1 / ext3 40000
sda2 swap 2000
first select above partiotion and delete... same for swap also....
after this you will get freespaceafter deleting both ext3 and swap
now you can select free space and click edit option over the menu
next give ( / ) as mount point and specify memory for this partition
after this step you will able to see ext3 partition
then allocate rest of the space for swap(by select and edit by using (EDIT) option....
give filetype as swap...
done..
click next...
installation will start..Last edited by srinivas2828; 04-04-2009 at 12:26 PM. Reason: forgot to add text

What the hell? You just repeated what you just said?! I said I haven't yet been able to get to the boot installation screen, I want to do it without using a DVD/CD?!!?1?/!

How did you install Ubuntu? You can use same process to install Fedora.
Just select existing Linux ( Ubuntu ) partitions in Partition Section during installation. Fedora installer will overwrite Ubuntu partitions. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I've not tried Unetbootin yet but from what I understand you need to install it, and either provide the .iso files you want to install or it will download them for you.
Check this link.
