    Compiz laggs me

Hi all, i just did a fresh install of Fedora 10 on a IBM Thinkpad T43 1.83GHz Pentium M. I enabled the desktop effects and its not working like i had hoped. When minimizing a program it slows down significantly. And switching windows via the cube doesnt look nice either. I used compiz on Ubuntu and had no trouble, what could be causing this for Fedora. My graphics card is the norm ATI.

    Code:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M22 [Mobility Radeon X300]
Any help in this is greatly appreciated. I would hate to have to turn it off completely =/

    Thanx in advance!

Have you installed ATI drivers on Fedora?
however installing ATI proprietary drivers is not recommanded. becuase they are not perfect.

You can install ATI drivers for performance.. but it may get your system messy. specially when using fedora.
