Wireless is not compiled into the Red Hat kernel. It can be made to work, but is rather difficult. It is even harder for an old version like Red Hat 4 (RHEL 4?).

I would recommend installing the latest version of Fedora (Fedora 10). It is the same as Red Hat, but it is a recent cutting edge version. Fedora is actually the development arm of Red Hat. Fedora also has the wireless drivers enabled, so your wireless has a better chance of working.

What kernel version are you using? I can assume that it is rather old. To install the modern wireless driver, you need to have kernel version 2.6.23 or newer. I would sugest installing a modern kernel.

Do you have Red Hat support? If not, then there is no reason to use Red Hat. You can install Oracle on Fedora, and then benefit by having the modern Fedora kernel. You will have to compile a new kernel for your Red Hat installation, as Red Hat won't even supply a kernel with the wireless working. You can't install modern drivers on an old kernel.

This how-to is for Fedora 9, but should be ok for Fedora 10.

OK, my rant is over! (sorry about that)

I will help in trying to find a wireless driver that you can use. First I need specific info. Read the post linked to below, and provide the information that it explains how to find:

I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.

Wireless with RHEL 4.x is difficult at best. Can you use a wired connection?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
