Fedora Core 6 Not able to update
My fodara core 6 installation no longer is able to get updates and when I click on add software an error pops up that says that I am not connected to the network. However I can surf the internet and users have no problems connecting to the website hosted on this machine. Any ideas on how to correct?

Okay, thanks. I am downloading version 10 upgrade now. But the last time I upgraded to 10 the root account was gone. Thats why I went back to 6. All the directories that were created under the root account I no longer has access too. Did they get rid of the user account root or is there a step during the install that I might have missed.

root login in GUI has been disabled in Fedora 9 onwards.
Back up data and go for clean install of Fedora 10.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
