Battery problem
Hi, I'm new here and yes I've been through the search but havent found what I was looking for.
I have a HP Pavilion ze4300 notebook, and installed Fedora Core2.
The problem is that according to my kernel acpi is installed, but my 3hour battery only lasts for about 1 hour.
Does anyone knows what I can do to make my battery last longer ?
ps: I'm a linux beginner, so keep in mind that if you start using terms, i probably need to think twice before I get them
tnx

It depends a lot on what window manager you're using. I get much longer life out of my laptop simply using even Gnome rather then KDE, even though I prefer KDE. Make sure you're not running any processes that you don't need as well, and that any deamons that you're not using are not running.

Do some research on the hdparm command. That may help you out, but be careful.
