    Can somebody please tell me how to "connect" my webcam (cheese webcam booth) with my Pidgin Internet Messenger?

    That would be difficult since Pidgin doesn't yet support web cams. There are other IM programs for Linux that do, but I'm not the person to ask about that. I've only used a webcam with skype.

    However, there is a site that provides Linux support for just about every webcam available, which you will need when you decide which IM client with video support that you want to use. Go to http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html for the drivers and/or information you'll need to make your camera work with Linux.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
