problem
i use fedora core 2 and can't get videos working (actually i can't eaven install mplayer).
i tried to install mplayer by instruction given in linuxforums.org tutorials, but the server where i should download is just tooooo slow (avarage speed 0.3Kb/s :S)
then i tried to install by these instructions: http://home.gagme.com/greg/linux/fc2-tips.php
when eaverything is resolved, then it says something and quits!
can anybody help me?

"says something" isn't really specific enough.
maybe you should go to the mplayer download page, where they have a list of a lot of mirrors. if one is slow, just try another: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/dload.html
after you've downloaded it, take a look at the mplayer online docs on how to install right here: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML/en/index.html
