It depends upon what was updated and what you want to roll back. Details? Why do you want to rollback?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

I have installed RHEL 5 and we are planning to update the systems thruough automatic updates on the box, and I would to like to revert back to previous state if there are any issues like conflicts .

So its more like a precaution that i would prefer to revert back if it fails ?

    Thanks
