[SOLVED] I Lost My Capital d
dear Everybody,
Hello again! I was surprised to find out that my Shift + d does not register anymore. It gives me nothing. Only when I press the letter "d" without the shift button does it work.
I don't know what happened. All letters respond with the capitalizations except the letter d. Can somebody please help me with this.
By the way, I tried it in the XP partition and its working just fine. I could have pressed something. Gosh!
Thanks as usual.

Hello Casper,
Yes it does persist. I tried in XP partition to check if it was hardware but its working just fine. So I was thinking maybe I pressed something? Like I was trying to study "vi tryvi" in the terminal and I noticed that the first letters does not also appear. However, I was surprised to find out that even here in our forums, I cannot perform a capital "d".
Thanks...

Hi Again,
I found out something....
I made a "guest" user account and the Shift+d works perfectly well. Now I realize that it is only my user account that was screwed up. Must have done something inadvertently. Hope this helps and as always, thank you for sharing....

I was analyzing my problem re lost capital D and in dawned on me that I could have assign Shift+D to do a task. Going to my System> Preference> Personal) Keyboard Shortcuts..I found the problem. It was assigned to do another task. My apologies to my colleagues for any inconvenience I have made. And I continue to thank all of you for your support and patience with newbies like me.

No wonder a friend who is a deep Linux user once told me that most of the time, analyzation plays a big part in solving problems in the IT world. Indeed the problem was literally under my nose.
Thanks guys!

My experience has been, for 2 days of analysis, you need 10 minutes of action. For 2 minutes of analysis, you need 10 days of action... I call that the 2-10 rule.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
