Proxy Server in Linux 5.3
hello all..
I am trying to install a linux machine (RHEL 5.3) through which i want to achieve 2 goals
1. Make everybody access Internet through proxy
2. To act as a Firewall and block websites.
I have to the following setup..
A server with 250GB HDD with 1GB of RAM (which i believe is sufficient).
Can somebody please let me know how to achieve these 2 goals. An experts advice needed.
Thanks

If that's all you want to do with it, install a firewall-based distro such as Smoothwall. You then get a nice web-interface to tweak your web proxy settings.
You are aware that you wont be forcing everyone to access the internet through the proxy, only the world wide web (and a few select other services)?Linux user #126863 - see http://linuxcounter.net/
