    Unhappy Clamav

    First time on this forum, and first time user of Fedora. I downloaded clamav from the "add new software" utility (can't remember what it is called now), and after it was downloaded I cannot fin d it in the menus. Where did it go???

    It is a command-line tool, though it might now be integrated with your file manager (konqueror in KDE). If so then right-clicking on a file will offer the option of scanning the file for viruses. If not, open a terminal (console) window and enter the command "clamscan filename". The installation process should have installed a started the clamd daemon process as well. You should see if it is running on your system.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    There is a GUI frontend for the KDE desktop call Klamav.

    There are a lot of add-on packages for clamav:

    Hello and Welcome to forums, Skyjacker

    However he haven't said that he is using KDE

    as waterhead sai, you can use Klamav if you are using KDE.
    you can use that on other environments too,

    But i prefer is Clamtk a GUI based of tk.
    Its quite simple compared to klamav (its just my opinion)
