hi iam using RHEL server and not able to switch between terminals right now iam in x window but when i press ctrl+alt+f1 nothing is working. need help....

    How about Ctrl Alt F2 or F3, etc. None of these work? You might be missing a package in your installation. I'll see if I can locate the package name, if the above doesn;t work.

    thanks for replyin but prob was not on linux i am using vmware on win xp to boot linux so the ctrl+alt was hot key for vmware. but again prob is iam not able to change the hot key in vmware it is using default ctrl+alt, i know this is not the place for vmware probs, but plz if anyone tell me how to change it, i tried before and after starting virtual machine still no result.

    LOL,
    Its quite simple....Grab the control in VMware.
    Hold Down Ctrl + Alt + Space then Release the Space Still Holding Down the Ctrl + Alt Then Press F1
