Okay, here goes I am trying to rsync from server a to sever b.
I need to maintain the permissions, ownership and time stamps on each and every file being transfered.

there are about 100 directories that need to be rsynced and the size of the directories varies from about 300 mbs up to about 40 gb's

I have full root privileges.

some directories complete just fine and all of permissions, ownership and time stamps are intact.

other directory transfers show numerous errors regarding permissions
after the failed transfers i right click the directory and under properties it shows crazy disk space usage like 435345345gb's and certain files in the directories are owned by owners such as "324234" "7547657567" and they cannot be deleted even as root


please help!!!!!
