I/O error in writting mode with Tape drive, model Fujitsu M2488D
I used Linux workstation Enterprise edition -3,Kernel version-2.4.21-40 EL. I read data from tape cartidge using Tape drive, model Fujitsu M2488D but in writing mode,I get Input/Output error .

Check to see if the tape is not write protected
Some tape drives have problems in writing data in Variable block size mode,
set the block size to 5120 and try again
