How to install web server in RHEL 5
Hi
i am bill new to linux, i would like to host my website on my home pc.
I install RHEL 5 and apache with the help of one book but there is no use i am familiar with windows o/s.
plz help me what is basic configurations
which ip required
which dns required
can i install dns on my pc or not bzc i have a router with static ip (broadband router adsl 2)
CPU : Pentium D cpu 2.8 ghz
RAM : 1gb ddr-2
Hard Drive size : 80 gb
plz help me...........................

Gday,
if your new to linux, it may be worth playing with a GUI management for Apache. A program that allows you to do this is webmin. Webmin. you basically install it, then access the managment using a webbrowser via https://ip-of-apache-server:10000 userbname = root password = Your-Root-Password. one last thing, to install on redhat you need the .rpm filesLinux is the OS of tomorrow, Here today!!
