hi i hav an acer aspire one. i want to network mine with another one but how do i do it. i have linpus linux lite, based on fedora 7. any fedora commands will work. if anyone can hel me that wld be great

If you have a local router for the network, then all you need is the IP address of the other machine to talk with it. If you don't have a local router, then you will need to turn on routing and the dhcp server in one of the systems (or give them static addresses to use). If you are already using these computers to access the internet via a common switch/router, then as I said originally, all you need is their local IP address.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

Linksys, D-Link, and 2-Wire are common home/small office internet routers that your computer connects with and that in turn connects to your cable or DSL modem.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

Look at the box that your computer connects to and read the make and model from that, and post it here.
