    [SOLVED] RHEL-Can't login

I changed the etc/csh.login and /etc/profile files to creat a trail in the sulog file as to the user logging in and using the machine account (ie. oracle). Now that I have changed these files I cannot login as root or any account in the GUI. Luckly I made backups of the original files. How do I recover these files if I can't even login as root. I also changed the etc/pam.d/system-auth-ac and the /etc/login.defs files, but my root password has all the required characters.

Try booting into single user mode and copying the old files back. If that doesn't work, then boot a recovery disc, mount the old root file system and restore them that way.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

I was able to get into single user mode and copy all the files over. Thanks.
