how to install firefox 3 on RHEL5

Now I already downloaded firefox browser but I dun know how to install.

And also want to know standard installing procedure for all applications.

Please help me to give instructions or a link to study.

I believe Firefox is already installed by default on RHEL, although I m prepared to be corrected.
As far as software installation, you'll be using RPM files. Here is a link for you:

It's actually written for RHEL 4, but should still be relevant.

if you need the latest firefox you download it from the ,mozilla website and then untar it, double click the firefox script. or put it inside your home folder and then create a shortcut form your desktop to the firefox file. don't foget to put a icon. bye.
