    Ping test

    I have written a script that checks the connectivity of the central rhel4 server via ping before ftping data accross from a rhel5 server. This script seems to be working on other servers but not this particular rhel5 server.
    the error is as follows;

    ping: unknown host backoffice
    No Access To Backoffice Server

    Please help?

    What exactly is the line of code it is running?

    Also, what happens when you try to ping it by it's IP address?
