ACPI Errors and Exceptions
I receive thousands and thousands of ACPI error and exception messages, in groups of three. They repeat constantly. They are the following:
May 31 13:17:01 localhost kernel: ACPI Error (psargs-0358 ): [\_TZ_.THRM] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND
May 31 13:17:01 localhost kernel: ACPI Error (psparse-0530): Method parse/execution failed [\_GPE._L1C] (Node f7817450), AE_NOT_FOUND
May 31 13:17:01 localhost kernel: ACPI Exception (evgpe-0573): AE_NOT_FOUND, while evaluating GPE method [_L1C] [20080609]
Is there any way to fix this, anything that can be done? This occurs on an HP a1050y with two hyperthreaded Pentium 4 processors and Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family. I updated my BIOS recently. I've tried using the acpi=off and noacpi boot options, and they cause my usb mouse to stop functioning, which isn't catastrophic, but I would prefer using ACPI and not drastically altering things and just fixing the problem. My messages log file is up to 140,000+ lines at the time of writing, and my Alt+Ctrl+F* shells are affected also, and upon shutting down the messages are also displayed repeatedly.

Have you tried reverting the bios to the old version to see if the upgrade was the cause of your problem?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
