screen goes blank with blinking cursor : nvidia driver problem
hello everybody, i've fedora 10........
it was working fine untill i got it updated and now when i boot it, it boots perfectly but just before the logo of nvidia should have appeared screen goes blank with a blinking cursor........
i think it's some problem with my nvidia driver as i read somewhere........ they told me that if u install ur driver provided by nvidia website the problem may happen if u update ur kernel.......
so u should install it from livna repo........
are they right??
so right now i'm thinking of uninstalling the driver and reinstall it from livna........
plz suggest me some way of uninstalling the driver..........
and yes i am able to start fedora in the so called safe mode(where nvidia driver is not working)...........
thanks in advance...............

You generally need to reinstall the nvidia drivers any time you upgrade the kernel. I'm unable to speak on livna because I've never used it, but perhaps someone who has will chime in with more info for you.
