    Upgrade OS

    Folks,

I have Redhat Linux ES 2.1 with Oracle9i. I want to update the OS to Redhat Linux AS 2.1.

How could I keep the existing partitions and oracle data/software while I do AS 2.1 installation? Is there any specific method to do it?

    Thanks

There is no point in upgrading from ES to AS unless you need it for support reasons...

If you do, contact Red Hat for a howto, I think it is enough to just modify /etc/redhat-release and some other alteration.

All pkg's are exactly the same in ES/AS
