hi all, i tried to download some data from torrent but it's not downloading......... i'm behind proxy & i've set the proxy the same way as i did in windows........ ...

    torrent client problem

    hi all,
    i tried to download some data from torrent but it's not downloading.........

    i'm behind proxy & i've set the proxy the same way as i did in windows........ but the windows one was working and this isn't..........

    plz tell me what other settings i'll have to do......
    when i start some download it shows the number of seeds and peers but says the status as stalled......

    i'm using ktorrent...... kindly help me out.........

    and yes guys maybe i think it's some problem with the firewall settings or some system settings and the problem is not related to client........
    because when i tried to download from opera which has a built in client it was also not downloading..........

    What do you mean by "behind a proxy"? If you mean a router/firewall, then most torrent clients don't need to be configured for a proxy. I use ktorrent all the time behind my firewall with no problems.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    i mean i did the proxy setting in other clients i tried.....

    ya ktorrent doesn't require any setting as it uses the default proxy setting of kde......

    i still wonder why it's not working..... may be i'll have to sort out myself....
    i even turned off the firewall......
