Calling on the gurus to remedy Fedora 11 problems
I have been using Linux for a grand total of 3 days! I first installed Fedora 10 on my laptop, and it worked beautifully!! I was so impressed! All my system resources worked, including sound and network, without my intervention! Much improved over the Red Hat of 4 years ago that I tried...
Anyway, last night I downloaded and installed Fedora 11, but it's been somewhat problematic.. First, my graphics don't work properly. For instance, my cursor and that little swirly that goes around it just looks like a bunch of little dots. Under Fedora 10 it worked fine and looked great.
Also, when I try to update the system it lists about 50 things that need updated, so i start the update, but after about 10 minutes I get a message saying that the packets can't be downloaded and stops trying.. Under Fedora 10 update worked perfectly.
Any information I can give you? I'm using a Dell Inspiron 2600 with 2 gig of RAM and 120 gig hard drive.
Thanks

I think I recall there being some issue with some cards in the "common bugs" for F11. I cannot post links yet, so go to the Fedora project Wiki page and look at the "common bugs" section and see if any apply to your situation.
This is because F11 was only released yesterday. Their servers will be overloaded for about a week or so.Also, when I try to update the system it lists about 50 things that need updated, so i start the update, but after about 10 minutes I get a message saying that the packets can't be downloaded and stops trying.. Under Fedora 10 update worked perfectly.
