    I am using CentOS5.2. Whatever I type in termial/ kwrite, the characters will appear in capital letters. May I know what may be the reason.

    No, my caps lock is off.

    I've never seen this. It could be the way you have your BIOS set. I know you can set the cursor/number pad to go on at boot, or not. In any case, I haven't seen this problem. I'm running CentOS 5.3, but I was running 5.2 before I updated this spring.
