    FC6 on Proliant DL360 - display

I've installed FC6 on a Compaq Proliant DL360 without losing too much blood in the process, but I can't get the display to work for me. When the system boots the display works fine, displaying the various text messages that occur at boot time. BUT - when the X server launches the display starts "tearing", i.e. the left hand side of the screen looks ok, but as you move across to the right it gets progressively more torn until it's a complete trainwreck on the right hand side. Strangely, the X display worked just fine while running the install. I'm sure its a config thing and I've had a look at /etc/X11/xorg.conf but I don't really know what the correct display settings should be in there. Any ideas?

FC6 is very old. Is there any reason why you aren't installing FC10? In any case, please provide as much information as possible about the video card and monitor you are using (vertical and horizontal frequencies available, and resolution at the various frequencies), and which video driver you told FC6 to use. Then, post the contents of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file here, inside a code block so it will be rendered properly.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
