    SendMail In Redhat 10

    Playing around with a perl script that looks at syslog messages I've borrowed and heavily broken and reused over the years. One of the functions in it is that it sends you an email via sendmail. Recently tried getting this working in fedora 10, and the paths for send mail don't seem to be working:

    Can't locate Mail/ sendmail.pm in [at symbol] INC

    Happy to sit there and try and get sendmail working, but is there some new toy in fedora 10 I should be aware of? If anyone one has any pointers I'd appreciate it.

    Cheers

    Okay, looks like Fedora is still using sendmail. Was concerned that it might be using something else. Had just walked away from rsyslog and was concerned I'd be trying alphabet letters before send mail =p

    So I'm now looking for the path to sendmail.pm to put in a use lib qw(the/path);

    sendmail and perl are both there. It's the perl module that is throwing me. My problem seems to be when doing a find / -name "sendmail.pm" I'm finding nothing there. I *thought* the perl modules with libs were still named .pm once you'd used cpan. So tried poking around and downloaded and installed it manually. But still no joy.

    Would you please explain where you got stuck.?
    Please make sure your have required sendmail packages. Post your logs or outputs ,so that people here can understand your problem,more clearly.

    I have some experience with sendmail and php , not perl.
    Even for php+sendmail , first i trid to make sure sendmail works well from command line.
    php website just uses the sendmail from front end,so making sure sendmail configured correctly will help a lot.

    Finally got this working last night after bashing my head against a wall. Wasn't sendmail or sendmail.pm. It was my script - it was calling sendmail.pm, where as it should have been Sendmail.pm.
