how to keep computer connected to network in power save mode

hello i have f10 and when i leave my laptop still during the night to complete downloads thru torrent, it goes in the power saver mode and the download pauses and i wake up in the morning only to find no progress........

actually during this mode it gets disconnected from the network because when i just press any key and it comes back then it shows "Connected to network"......

so i just wanted to ask why it was happening?
and how to continue downloads even when it is still?

power save mode by deffinition shuts off as much as possible, and doesn't do any processing. You have to disable suspend, or powersave mode, or watever to continue torrenting.

It depends upon how you have your power modes configured. By default, a battery-powered laptop will suspend after a certain period of no user input. You need to change it so that actively running processes will keep the system from suspending or hibernating. If it is already on line power, then you need to change the settings so that it will not suspend or hibernate at all as long as it is plugged into mains power.
