    Smile Boot time error

    when I boot my Fedora Core 8 version, I get the following errors, How to troubleshoot, Could anyone help me with this issue.

    ----------------------------------------------------

    ***An error o0ccured during the file system check
    ***dropping you to a shell;The system will reboot
    ***when you leave the shell
    ***warning -- SELinux is active
    ***Disabling security enforcement for system recovery
    ***Run 'setenforce 1' to reenable
    Give root password for maintenance
    (or type control-d to continue)

    1.when I pressed Control-D

    ------------------------------

    unmonting file system
    Automatic rebboting in progress

    -------------------------------

    2. when i gave root password

    ----------------------------------

    bash:dircolors:command not found
    bash:/usr/bin/id:No such file or directory
    bash:[: =: Unary operator expected
    (Repair filesystem)1#

    --------------------------------------

    pz help me to troubleshoot this issue

    If you have the install media, I'd put that in the drive and then use it to rescue the installation.

    May be called repair installation.

    oh you don't press ctrl+d after this

    immediately after it type your root password and press enter. then type fsck and press enter.

    it will check the hdd partitions of the errors due to which it coild not boot the os.

    when you get the
    (Repair filesystem)1#

    type fsck

    it will automatically check the hddif possible. but in would advise you to go to rescuemode nad do it if oyuknowit or wrire back here.
