    Issue with TCP/IP stack

    Hi,

    I was experiencing the following strange behaviors between two servers on which RHEL 4.5 had been installed:

    - I was not able to ping server B from server A, though I was accessing Sever A from Server B using Telnet (no firewall in the middle, Servers A and B were on the same Vlan)

    - After configuring a new IP address on one server (with ifconfig command correctly showing the new IP), I was still able to ping the old IP address (even after deleting the content of the ARP table in order to remove any old IP-MAC address mapping)


    Some idea about the possible reasons of such behaviors?

    refresh thr cache on the server
