    problem in yum installation

    Hi,

    When i trying to install packages from yum local repository. The following error
    occur.

    error: failed to stat /sys no such file or directory

    Hi and welcome to the forum.

    It seems like whatever program you are running expects there to be a directory called /sys but its not there. This directory is usually automatically created for you by the system, so I am surprised you do not have it. What version of Fedora or Red Hat are you using?

    Hi daark.child,

    Thanks for your reply.I am customizing redhat based os from Fedora 9. The customization os has kernel version of kernel-2.6.22.19-72,kernel-modem-drivers and kernel-module-openswan. During the os building, the rpm packages installed by yum. At that time following error occur,

    1) error: failed to stat /sys no such file or directory
    2) installation stuck

    How to solve this problem? What is the reason for this problem? Thanks in advance.
