How to restore default permission for ./home/user folder by using terminal console?

    hi folks

while using gnome commander and looking for the property of ./home/user folder, i messed up with default permission for this folder, as a result i can not open this folder in Gnome Commander.

    1) What is the default permission for ./home/user folder for owner, users and groups?

    2) How can I restore default permission by using terminal console?

    Thanks...

On redhat ,my /home/lg has this
    drwx------ 3 lg lg 4096 Jan 20 12:37 lg
You can setup user name and group using chmod command

    chmod -R lg:lg /home/lg
username and group both are same for me ,it's lg
    I guess above should work.

please put up if it's selinux permision or folder or file permission. it's confusing.
