    Do you need to install the BIND service? Or do you just need to set it in your network config to point at an external DNS server?

    You specify the dns settings in your network config under normal conditions. Run the tool 'system-config-network' to do this.

    If you need to set up your own server, then a good place to start is at www.bind9.net. They explain things far better than I can in a posting on a forum.
