Yum installs strange packages that fail check sum
OK I think I keep closing before really posting this so..
I have an acer aspire 1 with rawhide fedora 8. and I wish to upgrade (like to 10 or something), but I seem to have broken yum. when ever I use yum it trys to download these very oddly named packeges, some of them it does so just fine, but a couple of them always fail the checksum. I think I may have installed a malicious package. The compleat logs are attached because they contain urls.

Fedora 8 has reached "end of life" and no longer supported so there wouldn't be any possibility of getting packages from "rawhide.repo" you may be looking at a reinstall. Fedora 10 and Fedora 11 are currently supported.

You may need to use something like unetbootin, there are several members here who can tell you more about it, if you need help with it.
