    ifconfig not showing packet statistic for sub-interface

    Hi all,
    for some strange reason i get this ifconfig output for eth0:1 :

    eth0:1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:11:25:3E:1F:B8
    inet addr:192.168.179.123 Bcast:192.168.179.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
    UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
    Interrupt:24

    could someone tell me where are all the packet statistics???

    eth0:1 is a software interface, eth0 is the hardware interface that has all the statistics.

    All other machines shows full statistics, also for virtual interfaces...
