    Exclamation MPlayer --needs-help

    hi ..
    i am usng RHEL5 and installed mplayerplug-in-3.50-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm
    and mplayer-1.0-0.33.rc1.fc6.rf.i386.rpm
    on opening dat files or dvd movies it gives an error as
    Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.
    Please help me out.

    still not working

    My video card is
    VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. Chrome9 HC IGP (rev 01)
    I have used each and every output video drivers from the list of
    mplayer -vo help
    in
    ~/.mplayer/gui.conf

    have you tried just "x11" for the vo_driver?

    Hi, .dat files are not working means U dont have plugins installed just connect to the internet and get plugins form the internet.......
