I am totally stuck here and would appreciate the help of others.
This is a Red Hat 5 virtual machine.
The problem started with me not able to ssh into the server. I was able to login into the server using the vmware infrastructure client though. I restarted the sshd without luck. Then i restarted the server and on reboot it just hangs at :
Listening for a NIS domain server. It is also not able to mount NFS filesystems and i get the following error:
Mounting the NFS Filesystems : mount: can't get address for <SERVER>
The <SERVER> is working fine and is pingable.
Any ideas as to what is the problem here. I looked through previous threads and couldn't find anything.
Thank You
