    Problem with KPPP

Hello everyone, I am a newby to unix & to this forum. I am having a problem connecting to internet using my samsung e250i phone as a usb modem. yesterday I was using backtrack 3 from a live cd. There I didnt face any trouble. My system was recognising my phone as dev/ttyacm0.(Using KPPP)

But today I installed redhat linux 9 & here KPPP seems not to recognise my phone. there was no device listed as dev/ttyacm0. there are others like dev/usb/acm...... but those arent working.

Can anybody please help me with my problem.

The problem with Red Hat 9 is it was released almost ten years ago. I believe those bastards at Red Hat did not include support for future hardware ...

Try a newer distro e.g. Fedora or CentOS.

    Zegenie Studios Linux Distribution Chooser

You can't go wrong with Ubuntu, or Kubuntu if you like KDE.

And FreeBSD is not Linux, BTW.
