Install Video Driver for Red Had in Fedora?

Howdy. I have always had video compatablity problems with linux because I have a sis chipset. I managed to find a driver to use for my graphics but it is for red hat. Can it be used with Fedora?

If so, the installation instructions say to copy this file: sisdrv_430_20040604.o
    to /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/sis_drv.o

but this is not an existing directory in fedora. So if it will work, where do I put it?

Fedora and current Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems use the newer xorg X11 software, and the drivers are now kernel modules with the .ko extension. You should be able to set your driver to the generic vesa driver, though it won't do well for full-motion video and might not support the full resolution of your card and display. Red Hat 9 is quite an old distribution and you should NOT use drivers intended for that on a Fedora system. At best they won't work, and at worst you will have to fix or reinstall your system.
