While attempting to ./configure Gnome-Globalmenu-0.7.6, the installation aborts when reaching the GTK check and displays this error:

checking for GTK... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.10.0) were not met:

No package 'gtk+-2.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GTK_CFLAGS
and GTK_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

Although when double-checking that I have the appropriate gtk package, I find that I do have it installed:

Loaded plugins: protectbase, refresh-packagekit
0 packages excluded due to repository protections
Setting up Install Process
Package matching gtk2-2.16.2-1.fc11.x86_64 already installed. Checking for update.
Nothing to do

The error states that I can modify the PKG_CONFIG_PATH variable, but how exactly would I do that? Any help would be great, I've only been familiar with fedora for about a week now and love everything about it, but this minor hiccup has been incredibly frustrating! Thanks.
