Can you expand on this? How did they help you more then the normal/other repo's?

    They aren't repos, they're plugins.

Presto allows you to download changes to a binary package file, allowing a _much_ quicker download. I'd recommend it to everyone using yum.

The fastest mirror plugin works by finding which mirror is responding quickest to your connection, then directs yum to get its files from there. It can also speed up your downloads. It's best suited to fixed-line connections. It only checks the mirror times periodically, and if you hop from network to network, it can actually make your updates slower.

How do you install these plugins for Yum and how can you tell if maybe you already have it?

I just updated something I saw it said this:

    Loaded Plugins: fastestmirror

But I never went out of my way to install this so I don't know how I got it?

    Code:
    yum install yum-fastestmirror
    yum install yum-presto
But I did this from yumex which is easier...

You can tell that you have it because by the time you do an upgrade it will report to you that it is being used...
