FC 11 on Latitude D505 not working

I tried using the Fedora 11 Desktop Edition Live CD and it isn't working for me. After inserting the CD and rebooting the laptop I get the following:

    - Boot Message
    - I selected the "Boot" option and hit enter.

After this point onwards I don't see anything on my screen. After a few seconds I hear a pop, I am guessing my sound drivers and getting initialized. And a few minutes later I hear sound (like a welcome sound). I wait for a few more minutes and nothing happens, and the CD drive stops spinning. So I end up with no display. I have power cycled a few times and nothing changes. Is anyone else having similar problems? Any insight would be great.

Do you know what the graphics chip set happens to be? Also, is the laptop plugged into a dock or external monitor? If I boot Ubuntu on my laptop when it is connected to my docking station it won't display on the laptop screen either. I have a D630 Latitude.

    Hello,

Here is the info for the graphics card:

Intel Corp. 82852/855GM Integrated Grapics Device

Currently, I am not using the docking station. I have Ubuntu installed on this machine and it works fine. I wanted to try out Fedora 11, without downloading all of the CD, thats why I am using the Live CD. Thanks.

Hmmm. Have you run an md5sum or sha1sum on the CD and compared that with the published checksum? Maybe it is fubar?
