    Using Fedora/RedHat rpms on CentOS5

    Do they often fail?
If they fail, is the error present in the installer?

I'd go try it out but I have so much work atm so let me know! Thanks!

Well CentOS is basically Redhat so there's no reason why the RPM's shouldn't work.

Using Redhat rpms on CentOS shouldn't be a problem, so long as they're build for the corresponding versions. ie, I wouldn't try to install a rpm built for Redhat 5.3 on CentOS 4. Presumably, something built for Fedora 6 should work on CentOS 5, since it's based on FC 6, but it's still possible you would run into trouble.

Otherwise, Fedora rpms are going to depend on different versions of various libraries and you're likely to have problems.
