    Accessing firefox in RHEL5

    Hi,

    I have checked the firefox browser in linux and exported the display and started using the firefox from one of my test server. But i can't go to google.com itself i think the proxy has not been set. Like in windows OS we set in Tools-> Internet Options in Linux where do we set the Proxy,

    Please help.

    Is your DNS configured properly?

    I've never had to manually configure FF to make it work.

    Hi Shutdown,

    How can i check whether the DNS is properly configured or not?. Am stranger to linux could you pls help.

    Read your resolv file to see what your nameservers are.


    /etc/resolv.conf

    You should see nameservers with IP addresses. If you don't then that's your issue right there I beleive.
