    Smile how to install vlc-1.0.1 from source on fedora 8

    can any one explain how to install ,uninstall software from source using ./configure
    make and make install what is default path where installation takes place,i am installing vlc-1.0.1 0n fedora 8,./configure is not showing any error but i am unable to proceed with make....please help

    your upper link is not opening , i tried your second link 3 day before,it didnt work
    basically when i am installing from source upto ./configure is ok...but it is not making file "make", i stucked in make utility it is asking for something called target
