    Hi,

    I just wana know can i share a folder in a linux server to be accessible from all desktops (in the same network or domain) with share permission. I think i am clear with this question.

    If all the computers on the network are running Linux then you can use NFS. If there are a mixture of Linux and Windows computers then you will be better off using Samba

    Hi,

    Not all the computers are of same O.S. Its a mixture of linux and windows only. How can i use the SAMBA for this.
    Can u guide me in deep.

    There are a lot of tutorials on the Internet that are a lot more detailed and simple to follow than I could achieve here. You're best off searching Google and if you have any problems following a tutorial then come back and we will help you get through them

    I agree with Kieren that there are a variety of OS out there. What you need to do is google on samba connectivity and specify your Linux flavour to get the best help. This link
