CentOS 5 kickstart, custom splash screen..help

I am working on CentOS 5 kickstart. Though all of my installtion are fine, i am still havent succeeded in creating custom splash(.lss) file. I was wondering whether you could give me your valuable advice on this.

    Here is what i did

    1. Create a new canvas of 640x200 in GIMP (os: CentOS5)
    2. Add the text SANJU - VOIP with font size 50
    3. Set the Image > Mode > Indexed > Generate optimum palette > Maximum number of colors 14
    4. Saved the image as splash.ppm
    5. Run the command : ppmtolss16 < splash.ppm >splash.lss

    6. Copied the file to kickstart_build/isolinux/
    7. Edit the boot.msg, to edit the text
    8. Create repo & iso, burn it to a cd and run.

When i run with qemu iso tester, the splash displays correctly
But when wrote this to a cd and tried to install in a fresh pc, though i am getting the custom boot.msg text, in the place of splash screen a white screen is displayed. What am i missing here?

    Thanks
    Sanju
