    Question kernel

    Hi all,

    My kernel version is 2.6.18-53.el5(RHEL5.1). I have installed a xen kernel of same version.
    now i want to set my xen kernel as default kernel.Can you tell me how can i put my xen kernel as default kernel with out rebooting my system.

    Its not possible to switch kernels. You have to reboot machine to use new kernel. If you want to set new kernel as default, edit value of default in /boot/grub/grub.conf file.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    In real time environment if we reboot the system to set default kernel...is it the right way?
